Lisa Sedares is a Space Systems Engineer at the Aerospace Corporation for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). She is responsible for Verification and Validation (V&V) of the L-band SAR instrument on the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) mission. She completed her undergraduate degrees in Astronautical and Electrical Engineering from Capitol Technology University, and then went on to get her masters degrees in Space Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and in Piano Performance from Towson University. During the pandemic, she completed her MBA with a concentration in federal contracting. Sedares sits on the board of directors of Conundrum Theatre Company and volunteers with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and FIRST Robotics. She lives in Pasadena with her husband, daughter, and dog. In her free time, she plays piano on TikTok and is writing a new musical.
