Joe Bader is a Senior Project Leader in the System Formulation & Implementation Directorate at The Aerospace Corporation. In this role, he supports NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab Mission Protection Office in threat impact assessment for future programs.  Previously, he managed requirements for the Mars Sample Return Sample Retrieval Lander project overseeing development of flight system and payload requirements.  He has extensive experience in program management and systems integration for Department of Defense communications and infrared sensing system satellites and programs, with recent focus on satellites with hosted and secondary payloads.  He has a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from The United States Military Academy and a Masters of Engineering from Princeton University.
