Arianna Sanchez is a Systems Engineer for the Lunar Surface Innovation Initiative (LSII) in NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) at the agency’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. LSII is a cross-program initiative that addresses the technology development needs for lunar surface operations, including surface payloads, and leverages early lunar demonstrations to accelerate development of key technologies to meet the Artemis timeline for a sustained lunar presence. In this role, Ms. Sanchez provides support in the implementation of LSII including strategic planning and systems integration. Prior to her current role, Ms. Sanchez worked in the medical technologies profession supporting the design and manufacturing of instruments with neurosurgical, critical care and emergency medicine applications. Arianna earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.
